About Us

A landscape with a large green hill or mountain on the left and a sky with clouds on the right.

Mentology brings together performance psychology and child psychology to create something genuinely new, Developmental Performance.

A person dressed in black sports attire and blue knee-high socks is playing indoor hockey on a blue textured surface, using a hockey stick to hit a white ball. They are accompanied by another person, partly visible, also with a hockey stick, and other players are in the background.

We specialise in Sport and Exercise Psychology and Child Psychology. Two disciplines we believe should never have been kept apart.

With the aim of enhancing the everyday experiences of our clients, Mentology prides itself on using evidence-based approaches to develop individuals' potential whilst supporting their wellbeing at every stage of life.

Mentology provides two strands of specialist support: Performance and ChildPsychology. Given the powerful links between these two areas, Mollie and Jack work jointly across both disciplines — offering integrated support and training that no single field could provide alone. We call this approach Developmental Performance.

To help individuals, teams, and organisations develop the psychological strategies needed to perform, grow, and thrive.

Mentology focuses on building psychological flexibility, clarity, and confidence through practical and personalised psychological support.

A little bit more about sports psychology

Sport and Exercise Psychology applies psychological theory and evidence to the demands of physical performance — supporting athletes, teams, and high-performance professionals to understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours shape what they do.

At Mentology, this work goes a step further. By drawing on developmental psychology alongside performance expertise, Jack supports clients not just to perform, but to grow as people through the process.

Jack works extensively in both sporting and corporate domains, delivering practical and evidence-based workshops to organisations and sports teams. His goal is to help build psychologically informed environments, places where the psychosocial and emotional needs of individuals are valued, understood, and acknowledged.

Dr Mollie Higgins

Child psychologist specialising in the social, emotional, and educational development of children and young people.

Her work supports families and professionals in understanding behaviour and promoting positive outcomes.

Child Psychology focuses on the social, emotional, and educational development of children and young people, exploring how they grow, learn, and form their sense of self. It uses psychological understanding to make sense of behaviour, support wellbeing, and create meaningful change.

Mollie's approach is grounded in this holistic view. She works alongside families and professionals to understand each young person within their unique context, helping to shift narratives and promote positive outcomes that last.
